Thrill seeker, gourmand or sheep fancier, the Dorset County Show’s got it all. And with early bird tickets available until 1st August at a special price of £11.00 per adult (and all kids go free) it’s a great value family day out, too.
The Dorset Agricultural Society, organisers of the show, are anticipating that around 40,000 of us will be making Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September firm dates for our diaries. But it’s not just us humans who will be flocking through the gates over the show weekend. Around 2,000 animals are expected to be on the ground, too, including more rare breeds than you will see anywhere else in the County.
This year, the Dorset County Show will be celebrating its 175th anniversary. It’s an unbelievable milestone and has given the Society plenty of opportunity to learn how to entertain a large and diverse crowd with a unique blend of Dorset agricultural tradition as well as contemporary family attractions.
What is it about the Dorset County Show that makes it so special?
