The Show appointed Lisa Cartwright parttime as the Company & Board Secretary during the Autumn she has looked after most financial matters and much more for a couple of years – but her Show connections go back much further. Lisa originally worked for Peter Aiken Insurance Brokers who looked after the Show’s insurance and so knows a lot about the Society and the Show.
Rebecca Cox worked as an assistant in the office for the summer season, but like Lisa her connections go back a long way. Her father is Tim Cox, the Cattle Chairman and we think she has been to every Show since she was born. Her first job was stewarding, then selling tickets in South Street, and now she is the Competitions Secretary (full time) and is already getting things in order.
Richard Cuzens, as most will know, ran the Show from 1994 to 2001 and stepped in last year when the Show needed help. Known for his Bowler Hat, you will see much more of him as he is back full time as our Show Secretary and brings with him valuable experience of not only this Show, but insights of many other major UK shows.
This is a great team, we expect a lot from them over future years. The Office opening hours are 10am to 4pm in the winter months and 9am to 5pm from April to September (inclusive).
