Frequently Asked Questions - 2018 Show

1 - Can I bring my dog to the Show? - Yes! well behaved dogs on non-extendable leads are welcome at the Show but are not able to enter the Food Halls/Animal Marquees or Homecraft and Horticultural Marquees.

2 - Can I hire a Mobility Scooter for the Show? - Yes! from Wheels for Freedom on 01202 670450 but book early to avoid disappointment

3 - Do you have disabled parking? - Yes! display your Blue Badge and follow the signs to the Disabled Parking (it is at the front of the Public Car Park)

4 - Is there a bus service to the Show? - Yes! There is a bus service which picks up and drops off from various locations around Dorchester. View the bus timetable here.

5 - What time does the Show open? - gates open at 8.30am and the Show finishes at 6pm

6 - Where do the public park? - we have a large public car park accessible from the B3163 via Gate 5, please follow the signs from the main roads

8 - Until what age are children admitted free? - Once you are 16 years old you need to pay for a ticket but under 16 years are free!

9 - Is there camping available on the Showground? Yes, we have a campsite which you can book. Pitches cost £30 for the weekend and can be booked through the Show Office.

12 - Do carers enter the Show for free? Yes, we are happy to offer carers free entrance when accompanying a disabled person. Please present your Carers Card on the entry gate (

13 - Are there baby changing / nursing facilities at the show? Yes, the United Church are providing these on their stand A11, next to the WI Tent.
